Making a Presentation

Anyone wishing to present at Town Meeting is asked to complete an on-line Meeting Presentation Form by Friday, May 3 at 12PM.

 

Van Transportation

The Sudbury Connection van service, through the Sudbury Senior Center and MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA), will provide free accessible transportation to and from Town Meeting. If you are a registered rider, please reserve a ride to Sudbury Town Meeting by Thursday, May 2 at 4:00 PM by calling 508-820-4650. If you are not registered as a rider, please contact the Sudbury Senior Center to register at 978-443-3055 and complete an application by Wednesday, May 1 at 4:00 PM. Hearing & Sight Impairments – Accessibility

Those with hearing and vision impairments are encouraged to sit in designated areas by the front of the stage. Closed captioning screens will be available, and those who wish to use their phone or device to view the captions may do so at https://sudbury.ma.us/townmeeting/captions.

Electronic Voting (Voting by Clicker)

Sudbury voters use a wireless remote clicker to cast their vote at Town Meeting. Please see Electronic Voting at Town Meeting for details.

Refreshments

Snacks will be available for sale in the foyer by the auditorium. Proceeds from refreshment sales will go to supporting local scout groups.

Thank you to BSA Troop 65 for holding a snacks fundraiser on Mon, May 6 and Girl Scout Troop 82452 for holding a bake sale fundraiser on Tues, May 7.

 

Volunteers – Microphones

4-6 volunteers are needed each night of Town Meeting (approximately 7-10pm) to help pass microphones to voters who are called on to speak.

ABSENTEE VOTING

Please note, there is no remote or absentee voting at Town Meeting. Absentee voting is possible during elections, which use ballots as the voting mechanism. There are no ballots at a Town Meeting as Motions are made on the floor of Town Meeting and may differ from the Article presented in the warrant. Thus, Town Meeting votes must be taken in person.

VOTER REGISTRATION

A resident must be registered to vote by Friday, April 26, 2024 in order to vote at 2024 Annual Town Meeting. Check your voter registration status.
